I never saw any type of cleaning happening around the facility. I began bringing my own Lysol wipes with me so I could wipe his table down. The dressers in his room had clothing from 2 different ladies, and he was given another resident’s blanket from home a few times even after it was removed from my dad’s bed. They all treated my dad with so much love and care, and they worked their tails off!! Unfortunately, they were extremely over worked and under staffed, and did not seem to receive much help from the nursing staff.

Her feeding tube was yanked out by a night aid in December of 2011 and again Jan of 2012. Mom, Mary Richards passed away yesterday Jan 28, 2012 in the home on hospice because we did not put the tub back in. This is one awful place and someone needs to get in there and fit this staff before someone else had to die from their mistakes.
This worried me since he’s a fall risk, and needs to be monitored. Luckily he had not fallen, but he did make a mess with his diaper. This would not have happened if the staff had put pants on him like we asked them to do several times before, for the sake of his dignity. When I brought the nurse in to help me clean him up, she acted like she wasn’t sure what she was supposed to do.
The staff knew he was a fall risk, yet he was still put into situations where falling was likely. When confronted about the major bruise on his butt the nurse shrugged it off like it was nothing. On one of my visits to go feed him dinner I saw that he was not in his room.
